malapropism comes when we support (prop) something via stuff that’s inappropriate in a way that it – the stuff we come up with – imagines itself as the support it ain’t.
for example?
when a person talks of flamingo dancers and flamenco birds.
i wonder
whether this can indeed come used for other stuff than word pronunciations and spellings.
eg
when a country’s head goes to war thinking the country has a grave danger – however, there was no threat at all.
or
where someone needs to blame a certain group/person and therefore will reject any Evidence to the contrary.
or
where a certain technology come used to do one thing, while in fact it comes much better doing other stuff. (eg, arresting tech to capitalist needs??)
